 NEWSLETTER

Current NHS guidelines advise us that ordering prescriptions on the telephone can be unsafe and errors can occur. We therefore request patients use alternatives.

We do not take any requests for prescriptions on the phone. You can easily order prescriptions online if you are over 18 years or age. Alternatively please complete the tear off section on the right hand side of your prescription and drop it into the red box in reception. You may also post your request to the surgery. Allow 72 hrs for collection.

At Ilchester Surgery each patient has their own named GP. You can however see any doctor of your choice. Please contact the surgery if you do not know who your named doctor is and our reception staff will be pleased to advise you.

The doctors welcome new patients who live within our practice area.

If you have your medical card, bring it along to the surgery and the receptionists will give you a registration form to complete. We ask you to fill in a short health questionnaire and offer you an appointment with the Practice Nurse, or Health Care Assistant, usually within two weeks. This is to discuss any ongoing health issues, medication etc.
