If you require urgent medical attention and cannot wait until we reopen, please dial 999 if the situation is life threatening, or 111 for any other problem.
NEW Joint Website
If you are used to using the www.ilchestersurgery.co.uk address and you have found yourself on the Buttercross website - don't worry you have arrived on the correct page! Since joining services together between the two practices, our patient group suggested we combine the websites together. We have merged the sites together to help make it easier to find the information you need and to avoid lots of duplication.
If there are any additional areas of information that you would find helpful, please let us know by emailing your suggestions.
Carers' Café - Wednesday 14th February
Our next Carers' Café will be on Wednesday 14th February from 3.00 to 4.00 pm at the Buttercross Tearooms, Market Square, Somerton. Please come along and meet members of the Health Coach Team and other carers.
Short Health Walk - Thursday 22nd February
Come and join us for a short walk [c. 20 minutes] on level ground, with a cup of tea or coffee and biscuits as a reward at the end. We start from the Sports Centre at 11.30. It is an ideal opportunity to get back to fitness after an illness or surgery. For further information contact the Health Coach Team.
New joint services on offer...
We are now offering joint services for our registered patients at Buttercross Health Centre and Ilchester Surgery, this means that you can request an appointment at either GP practice and you don't need to change your patient registration details.
We are working hard to give our patients the choice and flexibility of appointments required and are now operating a joint surgery switchboard so that you are able to call either 01458 272473, or 01935 840207 to make an appointment.
Our phones do get busy and we now have extra teams working together to get to your call as quickly as we can. Please bear with us over the coming weeks as we make changes. Thank you to all our patients for their ongoing support.
Please read our leaflet on the joint services that are now available for our patients: Buttercross Health Centre and Ilchester Surgery
