Noticeboard

Buttercross Health Centre is open as usual over the bank holiday weekend

NATIONAL EMERGENCY: COVID-19

PATIENT NOTICE

We are bringing in changes to the way that the practice undertakes appointments with immediate effect in order to minimise the risk of COVID-19 to patients and staff.

  • The practice will be strictly reviewing all patient requests

  • We are only allowing patients to enter the surgery following a telephone triage call by a clinician; they will advise whether you need to come in.

  • If needed, we will offer you a face-to-face consultation after the telephone assessment but this is not guaranteed and will be down to individual clinical assessment.
  •
  • If you have been offered one of these face-to-face consultations please be aware that the surgery doors will be closed.

When attending the surgery for any appointment please call us on your arrival 01458 272473 and either stay in your car with your window open or stand within the 2 metre marked out sections.

If you are unable to call the surgery on arrival please do not worry and please DO NOT ring the door bell, the clinician will come and collect you from outside at the time of your appointment.

If you have any concerns or questions please do not come to the surgery without being requested to, in the first instance please use Ask My GP or ring the surgery.

Thank you for your cooperation at this time.

Many conditions are able to be safely dealt with during a telephone appointment.

New Patient Registration

consultation1We have now joined services together between Buttercross Health Centre and Ilchester Surgery, enabling teams to work across both locations to provide healthcare services to patients who are registered at both practices.

Both practices are part of Symphony Healthcare Services, a larger NHS healthcare organisation.  This means that we can offer services for our patients in the local area, across both sites, to help improve flexibility and services.

You can choose to register at either practice and use our joint switchboard to book appointments at either location, by calling 01458 272473 or 01935 840207

If you have any questions or need advice on how to register, please call the practice.

Re-registration is normally required if the new address is beyond a reasonable distance for the doctors or nurses to make visits should this be necessary.

Applications for new registrations are given individual consideration by the practice and a written explanation provided if the practice is unable to accept an application.
